Yuta Akahane was born and raised in Nagano, Japan.

At the age of 23, Yuta moved to Tokyo to begin his career as a still life photographer, joining Primo Studio as an assistant. There, he worked with leading photographers in the industry, and became acquainted with many more. One such photographer was Koichiro Doi, under whom he completed a year long full-time apprenticeship. During this time he contributed to realizing a range of studio productions while steadily refining his own technical and visual approach.

He continues to develop his practice by working alongside established photographers and production teams on editorial and advertising projects , further deepening his understanding of commercial image-making.
